ICT Mahidol instructor and students won Merit Awards at Thailand ICT Awards (TICTA2019)

Thursday 7th November 2019, 3 students from the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), Mr. Preeyapon Owartsuwan, Ms. Natsima Nongyai and Ms. Nongnapat Arrayapong won Merit Awards under the project entitled “PhotoGraffe: An Image-Based Vocabulary Learning System Based on MAS Architecture” at Thailand ICT Awards (TICTA2019). On this occasion, Dr. Preecha Tangworakitthaworn, the adviser of this project was representative to receive the award.

The “PhotoGraffe”, is a new innovative application purposing to help users especially, students learning English vocabulary through taking photos. In order to find the vocabulary, users can take photos of things they want to know, then the application will automatically introduce the possible words. Moreover, this application also presents “Multi-Learners” feature, proving users to join a group learning, combining one’s photo with another’s to learn a new word which is encouraging to English Knowledge Network.

Aside from this award, the PhotoGraffe had also passed through the final round of International ICT Innovative Services Awards (InnoServe2019) which was held in Taipei, Taiwan during 1-7 October 2019.
