ICT Mahidol served as the guest speakers for “Personal Data Protection Act for OpenStreetMap (PDPA for OSM)” for Office of President’s staff

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), led by Mrs. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Engineering and Systems, together with the ICT Mahidol’s Personal Data Protection working group, served as the guest speakers for the operational training, “Personal Data Protection Act for OpenStreetMap (PDPA for OSM) for Office of the President’s staff”. At the beginning of the event, Assoc. Prof. Kongkhet Riansuwan, M.D., Vice President for Administration, gave a warm welcome speech, and relayed the objectives of this training to all participants at Grand Ballroom, Prince Mahidol Hall, Salaya campus.

The operational training, “Personal Data Protection Act for OpenStreetMap (PDPA for OSM)” was a 2-day training; the 1st day was held last 6 November and the 2nd day will be held on 13 November 2020 at Grand Ballroom, Prince Mahidol Hall, Salaya campus.

During the day 1 of the morning session,  Asst. Prof. Sotarat Thammaboosadee, Ph.D., CDPO, CDMP, CIMP, an instructor from the Faculty of Engineering, gave lectures on “Principles of Data Protection, the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Mahidol University’s Guidelines for the Protection of Personal Information” to all participants. In the afternoon, the workshop on “Analysis of Information and Procedures Related to the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)” was conducted by Mrs. Pagaporn Pengsart, ICT Mahidol’s Deputy Dean for Engineering and Systems and her team. Moreover, participants were given a chance to ask questions at the end of the event.
