During July 1 – 2, 2023 – the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), organized a hands-on training on “Introduction to Data Science with Python”. On this occasion, Asst. Prof. Dr. Apirak Hoonlor, instructor of the Computer Science Academic Group and the Software Engineering and Business Analytics Research Clusters (SEBA), as well as Dr. Siripen Pongpaichet, Assistant Dean for Information and Systems, as well as Mr. Prach Chaisiri, Computer Technical Officers from Information and Systems Division, served as keynote speakers. The training focused on applying fundamental principles of Data Science to address challenges faced by different organizations and businesses. The training was attended by a total of 14 participants in IT103 Computer Laboratory, 1st floor, Faculty of ICT, Mahidol University, Salaya.
The hands-on training, “Introduction to Data Science with Python,” was designed to give participants a solid foundation in Data Science. Its goal was to equip them with the necessary skills to tackle Data Science-related challenges using different tools like Python and Jupyter Notebook. Moreover, the course aimed to teach participants how to ask analytical questions that can be answered through data analysis. The program also included topics on preparing data for analysis and utilizing the obtained insights to maximize advantages for both individuals and organizations.
