ICT Mahidol instructor served as a guest speaker in the knowledge-sharing activity, “Preparedness and Response to Cybersecurity Incidents in the Phayathai Area”

On July 3 and 19, 2023, Lect. Pagaporn Pengsart, Deputy Dean for Infrastructure and Technology, Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, Mahidol University (ICT Mahidol), along with Dr. Nawanan Theera-Ampornpunt, M.D., Deputy Dean for Operations, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, as the representative of the head of the Phaya Thai Area Management Continuity Committee, served as guest speakers. On this occasion, they provided their knowledge and insights on, “Preparedness and Response to Cybersecurity Incidents in the Phaya Thai Area”. The event took place in both the Bits & Bytes Hall and the Grand Auditorium, 4th floor, ICT Building, Salaya, as well as via Webex Meetings.

The session was organized by the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital with the objective of providing knowledge to the management teams of various departments involved in Business Continuity Management (BCM) and the development of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for all 9 faculties at the Phayathai Campus. These faculties include the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, the Faculty of Public Health, the Faculty of Tropical Medicine, the Faculty of Dentistry, the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Analytical Sciences and National Doping Test Institute and Technology. Additionally, the training was attended by staff from various departments within Mahidol University, such as the Division of Information Technology, Human Resource Division, Division of Finance, Division of Academic Affairs, Division of General Administration, and the Risk Management Center. Furthermore, participants from external organization, namely the Digital Government Development Agency (DGA), also took part in the training. Together, they analyzed and shared lessons from Cyber Attacks affecting various organizations and exchanged knowledge on cybersecurity to enhance their understanding, surveillance, responsiveness, and prevention of cybersecurity incidents.
