ICT Mahidol, together with MU executives visited Switzerland and the Netherlands for academic and research cooperation discussion

During May 7 – 11, 2023 – Dr. Pattanasak Mongkolwat, Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (ICT Mahidol), joined the MU executives’ team, led by Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chuthamanee Suthisisang, Vice President, Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Vice President for International Relations and Corporate Communication, Assoc. Prof. Naeti Suksomboon, Pharm.D., Vice President for Academic Affairs, as well as executives and representatives from the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Public Health, Institute of Nutrition, and College of Management, Mahidol University, in visiting Switzerland: ETH Zurich and Zurich University of Applied Science, as well as the Netherlands: University of Lausanne, University of Groningen, Maastricht University, Erasmus University Rotterdam and Leiden University for discussing academic and research cooperation on following topics:

  • The Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University, discussed collaboration in medical research on Brain Imaging, Ophthalmology, and Sport Science with the University of Lausanne, and on Obesity, Diabetes, Cardiology, and Medical Education development with the University of Groningen, on joint research for advancing Health Policy with the University of Lausanne and Erasmus University of Rotterdam, as well as participation in the ERASMUS+ mobility program with Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
  • The Nutrition Institute, Mahidol University, discussed collaboration in Nutrition and Food Science with ETH Zurich University through the Joint Unit both intuitions; participation in the Swiss Excellence Scholarship for student exchange, online courses on Nutrition Epidemiology and Inter-Laboratory Collaboration with the University of Lausanne; and initial collaboration with the NUTRIM Centre and Maastricht University.
  • The Faculty of Public Health, Mahidol University, discussed collaboration in Occupational and Environmental Health research with the University of Lausanne, as well as building connections with the Asia Pacific Academic Consortium for Public Health (APACPH) and the Care and Public Health Research Institute (CAPHR) and Maastricht University.
  • The College of Management, Mahidol University, discussed the Promotion of Staff and Student Mobility Program and Double Degree Program in Business and Management with Zurich University of Applied Science and Erasmus University of Rotterdam.
  • The Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology, and the Faculty of Environment and Resource Studies, Mahidol University, discussed research collaboration, student and faculty members exchange, and the development of Double Degree Programs and Double Doctorates (Co-tutelle) with the University of Groningen and Erasmus University Rotterdam.
  • Mahidol University International College and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mahidol University, discussed collaboration in International Relations and Diplomacy, Public Administration and Collaborative Governance, as well as student exchange under the ERASMUS+ International Credit Mobility program.
